Okay, I'm using the linux drivers that I compiled from source from here.
I followed the instructions for placing the led emitters from the manual. The top bar is the shorter set and the bottom set is the farther apart one. The top left led is the one with the visible blue power light. I attached them to my monitor with the maximum distance between them, i.e. the connecting wire is pulled taught.
For calibrating the gun, I shot the four corners of my monitor. It is a 24 inch 16:9 widescreen display. The width of the outside of the monitor is 22.5" and the height is 13.5". The top left led is placed 4.25" from the left side of the screen. The bottom left led is vertically in line with the top left one. The distance between the top left and bottom left led is 13.5", so the distance to stand from the monitor should be 40.5", according to the manual. This distance is too short, because the sight laser cuts out before the edges of the screen. I actually stood about 65" away from the monitor, which allows me to reach all corners during calibration.
So, after shooting the top left led and the four corners during calibration, the cursor on screen does not match up with the laser sight or the optical sight.
The cursor is skewed as such:
Top left corner-cursor is southwest of the laser
Top right corner-cursor is south of the laser
Bottom right corner-cursor is southeast of the laser
Bottom right corner-cursor is southeast of the laser
I have tried numerous positions of the leds and shooting different positions during calibration, but still can't sight it in accurately.
How do I get the gun to calibrate properly?
