When you install the driver, you may click "have disk" and force it to install the file you pointed at. This may solve the problem.
If it still doesn't work, please test it with another USB port, or anther PC. You may also test it with a 32bit windows and make sure that it is not the problem of the adaptor itself.
Thanks.

Ok here are the results: I tried directly pointing to the folder using the "have Disk" option and this is the message I get on my Windows 7 Professional 64-bit: Image here if Pic didn't workI tried the NDS Adapter Plus on my friend's computer running a 32-bit vista and it does work, so it's not the adapter. I did the firmware update on his computer and then tried it again on mine, and I get the same window as shown above. I tried another USB slot, and again I got the same window as above. My computer is new - VPCF115FM sony vaio laptop purchased at Bestbuy with the professional upgrade (if that helps). Note: I did use the program that puts Windows 7 into test mode (I have the watermark on my desktop that says it's on) and my version of windows is 6.1 build 7600.

It's strange. Would you please test it with another win7 64bit PC ? or, if possible, would you please test it with a newly installed win7 64bit windows ?
Thanks.

(10-77) It worked on a PC with a freshly installed version of windows 7 64 Bit, but I still can't seem to get it to work on my notebook PC. It is strange, I agree - it's like my notebook can't even see that there is drivers there at all. For now I will just have to use this product with my new desktop PC (since it seems to work on that). If you come out with a new driver, I'll give it another go then. Thank you for trying to help, I appreciate it!

I am having the exact same problem as shade2074. I would greatly appreciate some advice on the matter as well! Thanks.

Try right clicking the .inf file and choosing install.

Also remove the i386and the ia64 drivers from the folder, neither of them concern you and your processor. The AMD64 should work (even if you do have an Intel I7)

It did not come with a .inf file, so I took the .inf file from the CD and tried it with the new file, and it still did not work.

What exactly does the guide mean when it says "Plug the EMS product to PC, and install the driver as usual. (i.e. direct the installer to the location of EMSLink_ia64.sys and EMSLink_amd64.sys)". I don't understand what this step is telling me to do at all.

After you sign the driver with the Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider, you could install the driver manually as follow. 1. Plug the EMS USB product to PC. 2. Hardware installation wizard will pop up and ask you for the driver. 3. Direct it to search the driver from the location of the "signed" files. 4. Driver installation will complete automatically, and you should reboot afterward. Thanks (10-89)

I tried this again on my original laptop PC (the one I first mentioned before) and I am still unable to get it to recognize any drivers at all. I direct the software to the folder where the signed drivers are and I get a message still saying there are no compatible drivers present in that folder. I have successfully installed the EMS drivers (EMSLink_v3.1.0) now on two desktop PC's with 64-bit windows 7 but for what ever reason I just can not get it to work on the one computer I'd really like to have it on (for portability). I have tried using both of the USB ports found on my laptop and both yield the same results. I followed the instructions to the letter.

The "have disk" method also doesn't work, right ?
If so, it may be the problem of "Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider". I am sorry that we are not able to do anything about this.
Thanks.

Remove all but the AMD64 drivers from the folder, then only sign that one... the other 2 are redundant.
