I have two topguns, and two separate problems. the first is that one of the guns is of the newer BT1 variety and that the calibration advice here: hkems.proboards49.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=post&thread=1193043892"e=1193043892&page=1does not have any affect at all on the calibration of my BT1 gun. Changing the edge values doesn't make any difference at all in fact. Has anyone got this working with the two separate gun models? Are there any other steps I need to follow? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the guns quite a few times. immediately after reinstalling, all the buttons work fine, and send a different mouse button signal to my pc (as they should). however, after using the guns for an hour or so, all the buttons on the gun start sending the same mouse button signal (button 2 according to smog's driver if it matters). This means that I can't usE the other buttons on the gun for different functions. if I uninstall and reinstall the guns completely (including manually deleting guncon-related registry entries) the gun start behaving normally again. does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks Jason

I am not quite sure about your problem yet.
I have tested two guns (one is BT1, another one is not) simultaneously on PC, playing Alien3 (MAME32) , using Smog's GunCon2PC driver, on XP (32bit, sp2).
I have tested for around 10 mins, and I don't have any problem.
Well, how long had you use the gun before the problem occur ?
What game / emulator are you playing ?

Hi, thanks for your response.
The calibration problem with the BT1 gun is apparent even when using the gun to control the cursor on my windows desktop. Even after hardware calibration, the gun behaves as if it is uncalibrated (I know I am performing hardware calibration correctly, as I have one gun that I can get to work perfectly).
I play various mame games as well as the House of the Dead series, and the calibration and button problem is apparent in both.
The BT1 gun has never calibrated properly, I have had it for a few months. I actually sent it back to you (I was in contact with Henry) at one point because I was told that it was faulty. It was sent back to me with a link to the BT1 gun calibration advice I have referred to below.
The button problem has been happening for the last couple of months. I can't think of what is causing this problem. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

>> The BT1 gun has never calibrated properly <<
How does it behave ?
I am using Smog's GUnCon2 PC driver. That's how I set the TopGun in the driver.
1. Connect the gun (BT1) to PC 2. set the edge as follows: Top : 37 left : 137 bottom : 255 right : 711 3. disconnect and reconnect the gun, so as to activate the new settong. (very important, or the new setting would not activate)
After that, the gun (BT1) is workable.

It behaves like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnLoIZ0czcII have followed the steps you've outlined. The edge values don't seem to make any difference to the calibration of the gun. Would it be possible for you to post the ini file from the successful, calibrated installation of the two different gun models so I can compare it with mine? Do you have any idea about the button problem? whichever button I press on the gun, it registers as button 2 in smog's driver. Thanks.

Well, what is the program are you using in the video ? Please send to me (sales@hkems.com) and let me test it first. After I test it, I would post the .ini file here. thanks

I'm not using any program - I'm just controlling the mouse on my windows desktop. The uncalibrated behaviour is the same in mame and the HOTD series as well.

I have just tested a BT1 TopGun and a old TopGun again, simultanously on XP sp2, MAME32 0.117. The two gun works perfectly, with Smog's GunCon2PC driver. Here is the profile (.ini) : www.hkems.com/temp/Default.iniI have connected a USB mouse, and two TopGun (one is BT1) to PC. Both gun could control the same mouse pointer on destop. In MAME32 (0.117), a TopGun is recognized as mouse 2, and the other TopGun is recognized as mouse 3. Thanks
