[3DS] Pokemon X & Y is not compatible with #0907 NDS Adaptor Plus. #0907 NDS Adaptor Plus are designed to read the game save from EEPROM of the cart. As [3DS] Pokemon X & Y doesn't has EEPROM, it is not supported by NDS Adaptor Plus. It is impossible to be fixed by upgrading the firmware. We are sorry about that. p.s. for the same reason, [3DS] Animal Crossing - New Leaf is also not supported.

Will it be possible that a new NDS Adaptor could get around it?

That's a shame. Out of curiosity, where is the save actually stored on these carts? Would it be possible to create new hardware to read them? I would be more than willing to buy a new product to backup the saves from these games.

I'd like to throw in my desire for new hardware, too. I'd buy an updated NDS Adaptor Plus in a heartbeat if you could get these carts working.

It appears that fans will happily buy new hardware for these games since we will not see a firmware update to accomplish this end. I hope that you will consider this and create the new product. I wish you luck! You will have my business as well.

Do you have any plans to create a new piece of hardware that allows for the save of Pokemon X and Y and other games like it that do not have the EEPROM?

It looks like another company has made a save backup device that works with Pokemon X and Y, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Tomodachi Life. Is there any way you can update yours, or is it just not possible now? www.cybergadget.co.jp/products/4544859018664.html

In the spirit of gaming and since hkems has no active plan for a new device, I would recommend another device 3DS Power Saves by Datel. They have cracked the checksum issue in save and code application and it works with these games you are not able to save with NDS Adapter Plus.
Know your saves, be it NDS Adapter Plus or 3DS power saves are encrypted saves. You cannot "loan" to friend as they will not work. It only works for your cart. This happened long ago when Nintendo decided after Legend of Zelda OoT 3DS to encrypt the saves...basically soon after 3DS was first released. Besides the saves there are codes that can be used which are essentially Action Replay codes for 3DS. Sadly, you cannot hack your own due again to the checksum protection. The device works by uploaded your save to server, embedding codes, downloading the new save with proper checksum fix. More work is need on this but it is doubtful average gamers will ever see the return of code hacking like in PSX, N64, Cube, Gameboy days. Gameshark, Action Replay and Code Breaker are relics of the past in a simpler time of code and protection.
