Hi.
I bought a LCD Topgun and tried to play a FPS Game, for example Quake 3. I used Gun2Mouse3.2 and asigned to the D-PAD the keys W A S D for forward, backward, strafe left and strafe right respectively. It worked ok but the sensitivity was REALLY high, so I had to put it almost to 0 on the game and also on my Mouseware drivers, which is a really poor way to deal with this. In fact, it solved a little the problem, but the response was not very good. Thats why I tried the other 2 drivers avalible:
Smog's one:
xoomer.alice.it/guncon2/
This one had a nice "sensitivity control" on the control panel for the pistol, but sadly, I don't understand the dumb idea from the creator to not let people bind whatever key on the keyboard you want to use. Basicly it was unuseful for me since I wanted to bind W A S and D to move with the D-Pad.
Then I tried Wingun:
www.guncon2driver.com/
It was nice, you can asign whatever the key you want to any buttom of the pistol, even can configure macros, but there was a problem. I assigned W A S and D to the D-Pad, and the next happened:
The D-Pad recognizes that i've binded W A S D to it, but it only recognizes it "one per move". I mean, when you want to move for example, forward, you keep pressing W until you want to stop. This means you are typing WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW etc, then you release the key and it stops moving. The D-Pad will not do that, it only recognizes one W. I tried setting autofire to the D-Pad via the WinGun options, but the result its pretty bad, since it will not move smootly, and anyway, its not the right way to do this.
Then, I wanted to install the original EMS drivers again, uninstalled all previous drivers, even cleaned all possible registry keys, and installed again the EMS Cable-Link driver, and the Gun2Mouse 3.2. Everything is well done again, but now it DOESN'T recognize at all any key that I bind to the D-Pad, the A button, or the B button. This is very strange, since in the test program, all buttons are operative, so they are not broken.
Any help?
Thanks.
