Hello, I have ordered and am waiting for my Passport Plus III.
I decided to create a list of games that will need the Passport Plus III, and a list of the region free games.
For the N64 there is only two regions; PAL (Europe) and NTSC (Japan, USA etc.). Some games give a warning message such as “Sorry. This Game Pak is not intended for use on this system.”. Others simply get stuck on a black screen. The black screen games were double checked to work properly in the console with the same region the game was meant for.
The list mostly consist of USA games, so this would be most helpful for owners of PAL systems who may be looking into importing NTSC games. NTSC games that are region free will boot up in a PAL system without any import adapter being needed.

Keep in mind that lockout chip inside the boot cartridge may need to be the same as the import game.
