hello there i bought a GB USB Smart Card 64M(not here...) and the shop provided me with a link to the software from hkems.com at first all worked fine, but with the second attempt to copy(burn?) software to the card, the software becomes unresponsible after a few seconds and wont even let it shut down via taskmanager(or process explorer) although it becomes unresponsible, it copies something to the card, but the data is messed up after rebooting, i can start the software again and look for whats on the card, but the moment i click write or format it locks up again... did anyone else have this problem or does know a solution? any help would be greatly appreciated sui edit: the program becomes responsible again, when forcibly removing the card... but the effect(corrupted data) is the same...

Well, you should always reboot your PC after you have installed the driver, otherwise it may result in some trouble.
You may re-install the driver (don't forget to reboot) and try again.
By the way, you should leave your PC alone when the program is transferring data. This would help.

I have the exact same problem except I couldn't even make it through one burn. It locks and is only recoverable after disconnecting the usb cable. After following Guest's 'inspired' advice to play nice with my computer and follow hard reboot procedures I still get no results.
I notice though that the program throws two distinct errors during this process.
"Error Code: 31" and Error Code "1167"
anybody with an inside scoop as to where these errors are generated in code?

Please download the file from this link again, and delete the previous files. The file (below link) has just been changed, and therefore you MUST download it again and see if the problem still occur. www.hkems.com/files/GB_USB.rar

We don't have 1.0.3 on hand. By the way, 1.0.4 works perfectly. Don't worry.

Not really. The 1.0.3 worked perfectly on my Windows XP 32bit without any hangings. Now the 1.0.4 always hangs when I format the page or write ROMs to it. It does format the cart and writes the ROMs but always after doing that it hangs and I have to disconnect the cart to unstuck it... Anyone have the 1.0.3 version and can upload it somehere for me please?

Would you please download 1.04 from the link below again ? As I said, the file has been changed recently and I afraid that your file is not the latest one. www.hkems.com/files/GB_USB.rar

Unfortunately, I too am having this same problem. I've uninstalled the driver, rebooted, reinstalled the driver which came directly from your posted link, rebooted, tried again whilst leaving my computer alone, and got the same thing happening.
Any other advice would be much appreciated.

I am running Windows XP. My problems are the exact same as those mentioned above: The application opens fine, and displays a connection with the cartridge when hooked up with the USB cable. I can add any rom file to the window with no problem. If I click "WRITE", the file will begin being written to the cartridge. The bar at the bottom will fill all the way to end and then the second it finishes, the program locks. You can't close it, or end it in any way, shape, or form unless you unplug the cartridge from the cable, or the cable from the port, resulting in corrupted data. The second it is disconnected, functionality is restored to the window. The text "Error Code 1167" appears at the bottom as well. The same thing happens when I try to "FORMAT" either side. After uninstalling the old driver, deleting the files, reinstalling the driver by following your exact directions and link, I find the same problems.

Please try again with a small 256k file, and see if the same problem still occur.
By the way, please test with another USB cable. Using a USB hubs may help too.
You may also test again with another USB port, or another PC.
Thanks.
