Hello,
I'm interested in the Trio Linker Plus II so that I can use a Dreamcast arcade stick on my computer to play MAME and SF 4. The question I have is can the Trio Linker Plus II be used with the standard Windows Vista 64 USB game controller driver? I noticed that the drivers released by your company do not support 64 bit, but I need to know if the default 64 bit drivers that come with windows will work? If they will work what functionality will I lose using these drivers?

#0603 Trio Linker Plus is plug and play XP / Vista / win7 (32bit and 64bit)
Currently, only 32bit driver is available for this product, but the windows default joypad driver still works.
With the windows default driver, you would missed the following functions.
1. vibration of the joypad. (supports PSX and GC joypads only)
2. key mapping. (you could swap keys with this function)

Hello,
Based on this information I ordered the trio linker plus II and I'm using the default windows vista drivers. My Dreamcast Official Arcade stick will not function correctly. The buttons work properly, however the stick does not register on the x or y axis. When I'm in the test section for the controller and I move the joystick the point of view hat shows when the stick is being moved but nothing is registered in the x and y axis. How can I get the DC arcade stick to function properly using the default windows drivers?

Btw, the PS2 controller functions properly, but the DC arcade stick does not.

Near the bottom right corner, you should set it to "joypad" instead of "joy2key". Thanks   (10-40) |
