Forgive me for asking, but I thought this gun was supposed to be the first gun that worked with all systems and all screens? From what you just said it sounds like it doesn't really work with the PS3, it works when the PS3 is running in PS2 mode.

gamerdude, you are right. TopGun do not support windows Vista. Also, it only supports GunCon2 compatible games, for PS2/PS3.

I have bought an EMS TopGun 2 recently. I find that it always miss in the calibration in the game Time Crisis 2. What's the matter ? Also, I find that the response time of the gun is very slow. Other lightguns I have ever used don't have this problem.

Well, please note the followings when you use the gun. i) You must load the game first before you connect the gun to the console. ii) Before you start the software calibration in the game Time Crisis 2, you must finish the hardware calibration first. Please refer to the manual.
By the way, all lightguns (include original GunCon2) would have such delay. The delay of our TopGun is even shorter then that of the original GunCon2. You notice the delay of our lightgun simply because our lightgun has a laser pointer. ;D

Our TopGun doesn't support Vista 64, and we don't have drivers for Vista 64.
Thanks.

thanks for the response, so my understaning is that even with the vista 32 bit drivers installed on a vista64 machine it still wont work?
i do appologise if im not getting this right the first time:)
can i also ask if the topgun 2 will support the new windows 7 i know its still in beta stages but can you forsee any similar problems happening which has faced the topgun 1 with vista happening with topgun 2 and windows 7?
Keep up the great work guys, hope to see at least an unofficial vista64 driver soon if you can:)

Even you install the Vista32 driver on Vista64, it still doesn't work. We haven't tested Windows 7 yet, we can't tell if our TopGun could support Windows 7. We will test it when Windows 7 really release, and I would post the result here. Thanks

I recently bought this gun and I have been trying to calibrate it on my PS2, but I keep having problems.
My LED stands are set up vertically and I'm following the instructions to enter calibration mode, but I just can't seem to get anywhere with it. The only thing I can think of is that, since I live in an apartment with curtains, the light sometimes reflects off of the television, causing a slight glare.
Any suggestions on how I could make this work?
(P.S. The game I'm trying to run with the TopGun is a DVD game that also works on PS2. Would the LCD TopGun work with those games or, concerning that issue, am I, to put it nicely, S.O.L.? lol)

You are right, the light beside or behind the screen (in other words, in the sight of the camera of the gun), is the cause of the problem. The only solution is to cover or remove those light source. By the way, please make sure that you are running a GunCon2 compatible game on your PS2/PS3. Thanks

Thank you so much for my reply. I think I have the gun successfuly calibrated (I followed the instructions to calibrate it and then when it finished, I moved the laser to the wall and there was no red light. There was only the laer pointer light when I aired it at the TV). But I don't think the game I have is working with it, unfortunately. So I'll have to find a game that I know is compatible with it (House of the Dead, Resident Evil: Dead Aim...for example). ;D Thanks so much for the help!

As I know, windows 7 is base on vista. Thus, I don't think #0508 EMS TopGun is compatible with on windows 7.
