Or should I just throw your products in the trash, to pollute the planet for 100 years?

Ok boys and girls. I have some good news. I got my EMS USB2 working in Windows 10 64 bit. I don't know if this procedure will work for the rest of you but this is what I did. First, get the latest version of the driver for your architecture. Meaning if you're running a 32bit OS get the Vista 32bit beta driver, if you're running a 64bit OS, get the XP 64bit beta driver. Once you have this downloaded, there are a few steps you'll have to take in order to get the driver to install properly. FIRST: If you have secure boot enabled on your system, you have to disable it. If you don't know what secure boot is, basically it's a new standard in system BIOS usually associated with UEFI. Some boards will let you disable secure boot with out disabling UEFI, some of them you have to disable UEFI. Below I will post a link to a guide about disabling this. This guide covers Windows 8, 8.1, and 10. Windows 7 you would simply boot into your BIOS, there's no actual in OS screen process to go through. www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com/win8-tips/how-to-disable-uefi-secure-boot-in-windows-8-1-8.htmlAfter you've done that, log in to Windows and you'll have to open an elevated command prompt. Why? Because we have to tell Windows we want it to boot into Test Mode. Even though the drivers are digitally signed by HKEMS, for some reason Windows doesn't seem to recognize this and ignores the drivers. Press your Windows key and X on your keyboard together and you should get a small menu pop up over the Start Menu, from there click "Command Prompt (Admin)". I'm not sure if that shortcut works in Windows 7, so if you go into your Start Menu and look for "Command Prompt (Admin)" it should be there somewhere. Once you have the command prompt open you are going to type the following to tell Windows to run in Test Mode: bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON Type it exactly like that and press enter. Now restart your computer. Once you have your computer restarted you can install the drivers like you normally would and then after installing the drivers plug in your EMS USB 2 and Windows should start installing it. Once it's installed you can turn off Test Mode if you want by opening another elevated command prompt and typing: bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF Then restart your computer again. Now you're ready to use your EMS USB 2! Take note, the device WILL NOT show in your Game Controllers or Pinters and Devices screens. But it IS installed and working! Just start up and game and check it out! Personally I tested it in SNES9x and PCSX2 and it's working perfectly fine.

After disabling driver signature enforcement it works on Windows 10 x64, tested in SNES9x too, other emulators with xinput seem to have problems but I'll try xbox 360 controller emulator to solve it, thanks a lot.

To Windows, one of the most common trouble is Windows password recovery. How to login locked computer since password lost or forgot. The easy way for me is to use the tool that friend recommend. More detail is on here. You can try it.

I got carnageheart's instructions to work on Win7 x64 using version 2.71 of the drivers for XP 64-bit. Tested in SNES9x. I needed one small change. When I ran: bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ONMy machine gave an error and I needed: bcdedit /store c:\Boot\BCD -set TESTSIGNING ON Quick Steps: - Run the command above (as administrator)
- Reboot
- Install version 2.71 of the drivers normally. Joysticks should be mappable in SNES9x now.
- Run the command above (with OFF instead of ON, as administrator)
- Reboot
- Joysticks still work in SNES9x.
Thanks for the Win10 guide, and hope this helps someone on Win7.

I got this to work for win 7 x64 and stepmania 3.9 Purchased on Amazon, tinyurl.com/yd5r94zrI followed both of the posts here about other people, first schism and then carnageheart. I'm not sure what exactly I did wrong, but I couldn't get either method to work. Eventually I thought maybe I was using the wrong driver for carnageheart's method so I rolled back to the system restore point I made before installing the drivers and just let window choose a basic drive, loaded up stepmania, and it worked fine (I did have to map the select and cancel keys in the game). *shrug* So, if you're planning on setting up this adapter then make a system restore point! If I hadn't I'm sure it would have taken me much longer.
