Well, there is no guide for the fine tune function, as it could only be done by try and error. Anyway, the default value works well for most of the case.
This could be fixed by setting the values in "TopGunPanel.exe" to default.
In the "TopGunPanel.exe", there are 3 main pages. In each page, you should click "default" and then "submit" so as to enable the default value for each page.
** Please note that after your first installation of the gun, the values are not default. **
This problem is not related to the driver. This is related to the device ID recognized by PC. For example, you plug gun A and gun B to PC, and then reboot PC. Sometimes gun A would get ID 1, and gun B would get ID 2, and sometimes vise versa. (same case as if you plug two mouse to PC) There is no way to fix such problem.
With the TopGun driver installed, TopGun would be recognized by PC as a common mouse.
There are 10 buttons on TopGun.
A, B, C, D, SE/BA, START, D-pad (up/down/left/right)
**D = trigger **
Mouse could have at most 6 buttons.
button 1, button 2, button 3, button 4, button 5, wheel up/down
**left click = button 1, right click = button 2 **
In "TopGunPanel.exe", there are two key mappings.
i ) Button Mapping
- key mapping between TopGun buttons and mouse buttons.
ii) Key Mapping
- key mapping between mouse buttons and keyboard keys.
Please see the example below:
In "Button Mapping", set TopGun buttons as follows.
- set D-Pad (up) to button 1
- set D-Pad (down) to button 2
- set D-Pad (left) to button 1
- submit setting
** default value of D-Pad buttons are "disable". **
In "Key Mapping", set mouse buttons as follows.
- set button 1 to "X".
- set button 2 to "Z".
- submit setting
Now, here are the results:
when you press D-pad (up), computer would recognize the following two inputs at the same time.
i ) mouse button 1 (i.e. mouse left click)
ii ) keyboard key "X"
when you press D-pad (left), computer would recognize the following two inputs at the same time.
i ) mouse button 1 (i.e. mouse left click)
ii ) keyboard key "X"
when you press D-pad (down), computer would recognize the following two inputs at the same time.
i ) mouse button 2 (i.e. mouse right click)
ii ) keyboard key "Z"
As you see, above is how you could map TopGun buttons to keyboad keys.
I am sorry that it may be too complicate. If you have any problem, you may post here or email to us at sales@hkems.com.
