If your gun is recognized as a general USB hubs on Vista / win7, it is #0508 EMS TopGun.
According to our engineer, it is technically impossible to upgrade #0508 EMS TopGun to #0718 EMS TopGun II.
Thanks.

d**n it, then i have the #0508 Is there a way to replace the chip or the circuit board? I don't want to discard it. That's all, because i updated hard and software from my MAME-PC.

Technically, it is 100% impossible to change TopGun to TopGun 2.
I am sorry about that.

Can you install two guns on vista x64 at the same time for use with Mame and other games using these drivers?

Is there instructions on how to set up the guns to work in MAME32 or MAME64... I am using 138 and WIndows 7 64bit... the drivers are recognized in win 7 with no issues but I can't seem to get them to work in MAME...

We haven't tested them, but I think it should be no problem.
We have only received one "driver conflict report" that our TopGun conflict with a digital drawing pad. That user have solved the problem by un-installing his digital drawing pad.

Today, I received my new EMS Top Gun 2. I'm using Win 7 (64 bit). I have the same issue, that it is recognized as generic usb hub and i can't install any drivers. Neither in test or any other mode.
The packaging definetly says its TOP GUN 2.
Any suggestions?

What is the date code of the TopGun ? The date code is at the handle of the gun.
Where did you buy the gun ?
On the box, is it "EMS TopGun II " and not "EMS TopGun" ?
what is the product number shown on the box ?

Hello good people!
So you've managed to get the EMS Topgun II to work on the Vista 64-bit/Windows 7 64-bit, but how about the 32 bit version of Windows 7. I can't see any news or info regarding that OS. I have searched all over for instructions on how to install the gun i bought.
I need a driver install for that particular system, so please help me out. Thanks in advance!
