I am trying to run the USA/NTSC version of "Hey You Pikachu" on a PAL N64 using Passport Plus III. The boot cartridge I am using is the EUR/PAL version of "Pokemon Stadium". When I switch on the N64 I get nothing but a black screen.
Please advise. If "Pokemon Stadium" is not a suitable boot cartridge, would "Pokemon Snap" be better?
Thank you.

I don't know if the two carts you mentioned are workable as boot cart. In fact, Mario Bothers is always the best boot cart. By the way, please note that not all NTSC games are supported. Those very new games may not be supported. Thanks.

Hi sstewart, I have just tried with the N64 Passport Plus III I've received today. I own a N64 PAL French and the boot game was Super Mario 64 and the game to run was HEY YOU, Pikachu! You have to add a boot code to start the game. This one found at www.hkems.com/product/n64/n64-passport_code.htm works well : All NTSC Games on PAL system : E93DFF04 00000000 I've found another one at uk.faqs.ign.com/articles/366/366932p1.html but I did not try it : HEY YOU, Pikachu! (US) : E93D0054 003F Have a nice day.

How do you know if you have a "Passport Plus III NO.9801" I'm having troubles booting my PAL Pokemon Snap on my JP N64. I use JP Mario 64 as boot cart. I tried every code but I only get a black screen or a frozen scrambled picture. I also having trouble booting my International Superstar Soccer 2000, though the "PAL on NTSC system E1100304 00000001" code has worked for me before! Also, what happens if you activate multiple boot codes (from different games)

Besides the codes on our site, you may search boot codes from the internet.
Regards the boot card, your Mario 64 cart should works well.
By the way, it is possible that some games are not supported by our N64 Passport plus III.
Thanks.

Hi, I am knew to the whole blogging scene so please bear with me if I have posted this in the wrong spot, but I am also having some trouble with my recently purchased "brand new" Passport Plus III.
Would anyone please be able to tell me if it is possible to run the Japanese version of "Mario Tennis" on my PAL n64 system?
I have tried using "supermario 64" as the boot cartridge, and also tried various others. I have pushed the Passport Plus cart into as far as it goes (so that the III isn't visible). I've tried it with my expansion pack in and then with the jumper pack in instead. Yet nothing happens when I turn my n64 on.
I realise that some newer games aren't supported, is it possible "Mario Tennis (JAP)" is one of these?
Also the game I really wanted to play is "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine (NTSC)". Is this game supported by the passport plus III, and do you think it is possible that this may still work using my Passport plus III?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, thanks for the reply. Only problem is that I can't even get to put in any codes.....
The Passport Plus III never actually boots up. I put everything together, insert the cartridge, turn on the power and then nothing happens....so I can't even try the codes...
Do you know if the Passport Plus would boot up even without any games inserted?-I've tried this as well and it didn't do anything

Please test the N64 passport plus III as follows. 1. Plug the boot card to N64 passport plus III to the port at the back. 2. Plug the N64 passport plus III to your N64 console. 3. Turn ON the console, and the menu should appear. note : 1. Even you don't plug in the game card, the menu would still appear as long as the boot card is connected. 2. The boot card must be the same region as your console. That is both them are PAL, or both them are NTSC. Super Mario 64 is a very good boot card as it doesn't has any protection. 3. If the boot menu doesn't appear, it may be a bad contact problem. For this case, please use a rubber to clean the port of the N64 passport plus III and try again.

Great, thanks for your help. I tried exactly what you seuggested and it still doesn't show the menu or anything. I guess it must be a defective card as the person I bought if from said it was brand new and never used before. Now that I know for sure it is a problem with the card this will help in sorting things out with the seller. Thanks again for your help.

You should use Mario 64 (same region as your console) as the boot cart.

i got a passport plus 3 for christmas in hopes to play my NTSC games here in Germany on my PAL console. I turned on the console with NHL breakaway 98 (PAL) as my boot card for Mario party (NTSC). After selecting the right code it worked perfectly. I then tried to get harvest moon working, but I think the code I found online was wrong because it didnt work. Since then, when I try turnin on my console using the passport plus 3 and any arrangement of games, it doesnt work. I cant even get to thr main menu, all I get is a black screen. Is there any way to fix this? I tried cleaninh all surfaces and disconnecting/reconnecting everything and nothing works. If there is no way to fix it, does the passport plus 3 come with any return warranty? We dont have s shop here in Mannheim, but is there somewhere I can send it to get it replaced?

You may send it back to us. We would repair / replace it free of charge, and you just need to pay for the postage.
If you would like to send it back to us, please email to sales@hkems.com and leave us your country / address (with zip code) / phone number.
note : it's more safe to mark your phone number besides the address on the parcel.

I have just bought a passport plus III from eBay and I can't find where to buy a boot cartridge to play my games. I have a PAL console and Mario Party 2 and 3 NSTC cartridges. Has anyone experienced any problems with these games on PAL format?
