I just recently obtained a "Multi-Action 4in1" for SEGA Saturn with the "Action Replay v1.94" on it and I was wondering if it can be reflashed to the last firmware version (2.02 I think) and how.
Also I want to know if this cart has 4MB RAM support or if needs the "Vampire Savior Mod" and how to do it because the PCB is diferent from the "Action Replay 4M Plus" (The one for wich this mod guide was made for).
Thank you in advance and I hope someone can help me (I want to play "D&D Shadow over Mystara" so much )
The only different between v1.94 and v2.02 is that v2.02 has more built in code. Of course, even without those built-in codes, you could enter and save new codes manually yourself. It is not the cause of the problem you mentioned.
The mod below would solve the problem, but we don't recommend you to do it yourself. It is dangerous to do so if you don't have any soldering experience. Moreover, you could not enjoy the free repair / replace services if the product is opened.
You may consider to send it back to us. We would repair it and upgrade it to v2.02 for you, free of charge. You just need to pay for the postage. If you would like to send it back to us, please email to email@example.com, and leave us your country / address (with zip code) / phone number. We would tell you what to do next. Thanks
Thank you for your quick response and thank you for the information.
With respect to the mod you show me; I had already seen that one, but the problem is that my cart's PCB is different because is another cart model than the "Action Replay 4M Plus", specifically this one:
However, I'm pretty shure that this cart can run 4MB RAM required games because I played X-Men vs Street Fighter yesterday, so that makes me think that this cart has the same problem as the Vampire's Savior previous carts, but I don't know how, or where to make the fix in the PCB.
Here's a PCB picture of my cart (As you can see, the PCB doesn't coincide with the one of the guide):
As you can see the PCB has the name of your company printed on it, that's why I come to you for help.
I'm a very capable technician and I can do the fix, so I think I don't need to send the cart to you, but I would greatly appreciate if you can help me with a diagram of where to do the bridging (because I don't have references or information about the other "Action Replay 4M Plus" cart).
Thank you again for your time, and I hope you can respond to this post to know your answer.
Thank you for uploading the picture. I am sorry to tell you that this is not our product, and thus we are not sure why it could not compatible with Vampire Savior. You may better contact your seller about this.
If you would like to buy our buy our #9602 Action Replay Plus 4M, please email to firstname.lastname@example.org and leave us your country / address (with zip code) / phone number. We would give you a detailed quotation as soon as possible.
I thougt the cart was a product of yours because of the printinig "EMS" on the PCB, but considering the info you gave me, I suppose it's a clone.
So I can't receive support for this cart but I'm considring buying one of yours when I have enough money, so thank you for the info.
By the way, I was able to reflash this cart with the last Action Replay (v2.02) using a tool called "Save Game Mannager" from Rockin'-B, and as you told me, it only updated the Codes Database, but the compability problem stayed the same
Well, again thank you very much for your attentions.
