I just got my NDS adaptor a week ago and have been using it ever since until this happened tinyurl.com/mbc4fogActually, it stopped working with the application that downloads/backs up NDS game saves(its v1.0 btw) with the red light blinking before the plastic started to melt. I thought it was overheated since I have been using it too much at one day, so I left near the fan around 8 hours and it still doesn't work with the application. The red light isn't blinking anymore though. Anything I should do to make it work?

The adaptor is defective. You may send it back to us, we would repair / replace it free of charge. You just need to pay for the postage.
Please leave us your country / address (with zip code) / phone number, and email to sales@hkems.com. We would tell you what to do next. Thanks.

Hello, can you test if you can backup saves on Pokémon X/Y via NDS Adapter Plus v3.05? I hope the game isn't like Animal Crossing New Leaf!

I've had two people tell me that the NDS Adapter Plus v3.05 cannot read Pokemon X or Y. I will have my copy of the game in a couple hours and can test it.

Can confirm: NDS Adapter Plus v3.03 software freezes when a NDS Adapter Plus with v3.05 firmware is inserted with a Japanese Pokemon X.
Will it be possible to fix this with an update as Project X Zone was?

Please download file below, decompress it and run the program inside. And then please connect the game cart to PC via NDS Adaptor Plus, press the "ID test" button, and a code will appear. Please report the code to us, and we may able to fix it. Thanks. www.hkems.com/files/0907/NDS_Adaptor_Plus_ID_V1.0.rarI tried this with Pokemon Y and had the same result as the user who asked about Animal Crossing. The program froze when I inserted the NDS Adapter Plus into the USB slot.

Will it be possible to fix this with an update as Project X Zone was? I don't think that can happen... It's already been said that the device can't be updated to make Animal Crossing work, since the cartridge is physically different, and I suspect Pokemon is the same way.

X and Y don't use the same save method as Animal Crossing. It saved to Nand. Pokemon does not.
These guys should be able to fire out an update soon. Just be patient.

I have one question regarding NDS Adapter Plus. How can I make it work with Windows 8.1? I've tried looking everywhere to have it working but with no luck. The driver refuses to install. Is there a fix or at least a temporary fix around this?

NDS Adaptor Plus was working perfectly with Windows 8 64-bit by disabling driver enforcement signature. Now, with the same computer but updated to Windows 8.1, I get a system crash every time I try to open the backup program The system reports there was an exception with EMSLink_amd64.sys (by the way, my processor is Intel). Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks you very much.

Slightly unreleated, but how do you disable driver enforcement in Windows 8? I used this product successfully with Vista on a 32-bit computer but now I can't get it to work in Windows 8.

Here is the driver installation guide for win8 (not 8.1). I haven't tested this with 8.1 yet. If it don't work on 8.1, please inform us. Thanks. Driver installation on windows 8 1. (ignore this for 32bit windows) follow the guide below to disable the "Driver Signature Enforcement" in windows 8. www.windows7hacker.com/index.php/2012/08/how-to-install-an-un-signed-3rd-party-driver-in-windows-8/2. follow the guide below to disable the "SmartScreen Filter" in windows 8. www.howtogeek.com/75356/how-to-turn-off-or-disable-the-smartscreen-filter-in-windows-8/3. download the driver from the link below. www.hkems.com/files/EMSlink/EMSLink_v3.1.0.zip4. plug the device to PC. 5. visit device manager, right click the unknown device, install the driver as usual. 6. (ignore this for 64bit windows) reboot after driver installation. Remarks : For windows 8 32bit, there is no "Driver Signature Enforcement", therefore the driver would work permanently as it should be. For windows 8 64bit, there is "Driver Signature Enforcement". Everytime after reboot, you have to re-do the above steps (except step 2) so as to disable "Driver Signature Enforcement" and install the driver again.
