Hi there, Is it possible to change the repeat rate/rate at which the USB2 detects button presses on the attached Playstation joypad? I am trying to play Devil May Cry on the PC - if I connect a standard USB joypad, it detects me hammering the shoot button. If I attach a PSX pad via the EMS 2 it seems to force me to press the button, fully release, press button again etc - not very handy when you're desperately trying to shoot a room full of demons! Is this a limitation of the pad, the USB2 device or something else? Thanks.

Just to follow up on this, borrowed a standard (non analog) PSX pad and there doesn't seem to be any problems with the repeat rate of the buttons. Not sure if this means that it is a limitation of the dual analog pad I was using, the drivers when used with analog sticks or some other problem with the EMS USB2 - any help would be appreciated.
The pad I am trying to use is a brand new MadCatz Dual Force 2 Pro, so I'm pretty sure that the actually pad should be OK.
Thanks for your time.

hi Moose I am not quite sure what do you mean by "repeat rate". Do you mean the frequency the PC (driver) detect the button press ? According to you, standard (non analog) PSX pad would not have this problem. I have also tested with an Sony official PS2 joypad, it works perfectly too. As those office joypads doesn't have this problem, your problem is not likely related to the driver nor the EMS USB2 hardware. Seems it is related to your MadCatz Dual Force 2 Pro. >> the drivers when used with analog sticks or some other problem with the EMS USB2By the way, do you have other problem with the EMS USB2 or the driver ? If so, please tell us in details. Thank you.

Hi there, Thanks for the prompt reply. Sorry, 'repeat rate' was the best way I could think of to describe it yesterday - I did mean the frequency of how often button presses are detected. As you say, it seems to be OK with a standard (non analog) pad. Did you test with the official PS2 Dual Shock 2 pad, or just a standard pad with no analog sticks? If you have no problems with a Dual Shock 2 pad, it must be my pad that is causing problems I will have to try and find a friend with a PS2 who can test the pad for me. I have no other problems with the drivers - they work perfectly with the arcade stick that I picked up and make for a great afternoon on MAME I was very impressed to find your website and that the drivers had been updated so recently. It must be several years now since I actually bought my EMS USB2 and was expecting to be able to find no trace of it on the net! Thanks again for your time and the quick reply.

Well, I have tested both Sony official Dual Shock 2, and the Sony official PSX joypad (without analog sticks), and I haven't found the any problem. Seems it's the problem of your joypad, you may test it with a PS2. Regards the driver, we keeps updating it according to the feedback from our customers. So, if you have any new ideas or you found any bugs, please kindly inform us. We would update our driver to match your needs. Finally, we are glad that you like our product. Thanks. ;D
