We have the technology to develop those items, we will further investigate matters such as market and cost. We will take them into consideration seriously. Thank you very much for your valuable idea. Thanks.

Thank you, I hope to see something like these made available to retro-gamers in the near future.

I was browsing on Ebay and came across a seller by the name of HKInventory who had an aftermarket controller for Wii that is essentially just the guts of a GameCube controller transplanted into a Classic Controller shell, instead of the terribly short plug that goes into the Wii-mote, it has a 7 feet of cord and a GameCube plug at the end, but the + (select) and - (start) were turned into Turbo and Slow. I'm curious, could a Wii Controller be turned into a PC HID controller in a similar way?

i think it dosen't make any sense to make any product only support such expensive and unpopular wii controller ;D

kitsunebaka, I understand what you mean. We are able to make this. But, it seems that these two controllers are not so popular today. We wonder if there is room for such adaptor for these two controller in the market.

^It's possible to make a classic controller to USB adapter? I think a lot of people would purchase it. In my opinion it's one of the best controllers out there, and aside from that, many people will buy it to plug their hori arcade sticks into PC. (since it's basically just a warped classic controller) Many people have been modifying that joystick to work on 360/PS3 since it's one of the only arcade sticks that has turbo functionality for every single button. I think an adapter that lets you use it on your PC would be a big hit with the vs. fighter community.

We had took this into consideration already. The market for this Wii Adaptor is still too small

If the market is too small for mass production, would you consider made to order basis?
You'll be surprised how many people are after this and could then later mass produce it, in the future.

It's possible, if the order quantity is up to several thousand.
Otherwise, it could not cover our production and development cost.

stremlau.eu/wiki/Classic2USBSomeone actually found out how to do it. Although their design could be improved by adding support for two players, and having the port connection points on the ends of two 6ft length cords running out of the front of the black box to allow more reach. I've loved the Classic Controller ever since I played some 2d games with it on the Wii's Virtual Console at a friend's, it's very comfortable and the buttons and analog sticks are very responsive and I love the thought of being able to use the Classic to play emulators on a PC, as would many other gamers. I think you are wrong in your assumption that the Classic Controller is unpopular, many gamers have been hacking theirs to work on other consoles and on PC.

Okay, I think I understand why you think the Classic Pad is "unpopular," it's because when being used on Wii, it is not detected when playing GameCube games, so some gamers using it on the Wii find that to be an annoying flaw. But that flaw is unimportant to gamers who just want to use the device as a USB controller. The Wii Classic Controller is one of the most well built, comfortable, and affordable controllers out there. It also has analog sticks (which SNES pads do not have) and it has Select and Start and extra set of top buttons, which the Gamecube controller lacks, making it not as functional for playing emulated games. www.amazon.com/Wii-Classic-Controller-nintendo/dp/B000IN0BSU - It still gets good reviews on Amazon. The Classic Controller is infact quite popular among Emulation Gamers, atleast with the ones who know how to do all that Bluetooth and Glovepie crap, but some of us are very confused by all of that, and would rather just have a corded USB adapter. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDzyWXXRKAc

Thanks for at least taking the idea into consideration. How long is the cord length on the USB Classic Linker? As you know, the cord on the Classic Controller is very short, since it was only designed to be plugged in the bottom of the Wii-Mote. If the USB Classic Linker does well, would you consider making a 2 or 3 player model? I'm thinking something similar looking to Mayflash's Gamecube to USB adapter cable, except with 2 Wii-Mote ports instead of Gamecube ports. i146.photobucket.com/albums/r243/kitsune_baka/Wii_Box13.pngEDIT: Oh, I see... so it's not actually one item that is required in order to do this, but two. That's a little more hassle (and cost) than I was expecting. But oh well, maybe later in the future you will still consider making a dedicated Wii Controller to USB adapter... I won't hold my breath though.

Seems the market is still not big enough for mass production of this product. It's unfortunate that you decided to pass on this idea. I think Mayflash is going to sell quite a bit of these. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoSxGgby8t8
